Apple’s iCloud is replacing MobileMe
iCloud is the latest incarnation of Apple’s online services, replacing MobileMe which is due to be discontinued in the middle of 2012. iCloud is a free service which replicates most of MobileMe’s functionality, such as syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks and notes between multiple desktops and gadgets.
Other existing Apple features such as Back to My Mac (remote file access), and Find my iPhone (remote location check) have also been brought across to iCloud. Apple has also added a range of new features such as document storage and sync, photo syncing, and iTunes Music for accessing your music in the cloud.
10 of Joomla!’s Popular Extensions
Joomla! has many extensions but here are 10 of the most popular ones. This month we reviewed many of them and came up with our Top 10 list. After reading through this article, we would encourage you to not only share them with others, but also leave us comments with Your Top 10 list.
Your Business Website and ADA Compliance
There is a current litigation trend in which courts are being asked to determine whether websites, specifically websites facilitating business transactions, fall under the purview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Jeffrey A. Cohen, Internet attorney and the founder of InternetLitigators, discusses this topic, the Justice Department, how it pertains to your website and what you can do to protect yourself from upcoming legislation.
InternetLitigators is also offering customers and friends of Lunarpages Internet Solutions a special discounted membership.

Many new and existing business owners competing for visibility in today’s fast-paced market, finding dependable, affordable, and talented graphic designers can be a challenge. Small businesses typically do not have in-house graphic designers and must outsource needs such as logo design, business cards, stationary, print, and websites. It’s important to find a designer that understands their client’s aesthetic, can work within important deadlines and budget, and will provide a design that meets their client’s needs. Finding the perfect designer can be a challenge – that’s where DesignContest.com comes in.
Operating since 2003, DesignContest.com (formerly DesignContest.net) connects its clients with thousands of experienced, talented designers. The client becomes the contest holder, and the community of designers competes for a monetary prize. Instead of the 4 to 6 design options typically provided by a single design firm, the client will have hundreds of different design options to choose from and are given the opportunity to communicate with individual designers and provide feedback every step of the way. All of the contests on DesignContest.com run for one or two weeks, longer if the contest holder wants to see more, at the end of which a single designer is selected as the winner and original files are released.
DesignContest.com streamlines this entire process, making it easier to start a contest and more efficient to provide feedback to designers. Connecting clients with thousands of designers, all at once, makes it easy to get a design they love, within their budget. Every customer is extremely satisfied with the graphic designs they get, process efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Hosted with Lunarpages for 2.5 years
Not knowing much about web hosting, I decided to use Lunarpages to host my business website because my father used it for his projects. I am very happy I did. I remember one instance when I didn’t understand what was going on with my site. I emailed Lunarpages support one time during the night and within 15 minutes, I had a helpful response. It was unbelievable customer service–service I’ve never seen with any company–and I have never had a regret since.
Congratulations Peter! We will be in touch to arrange to ship your iPad to you!
